AIX offers a choice of either POSIX or legacy. The point is that the
behavior changed. TSM did not use, but tolerated, POSIX_AIO prior to
5.3.4.

Orville -

All the TSM documentation I've seen for AIXASYNCIO calls for legacy
AIX "aio0" to be used, as fully laid out in the TSM 5.1 Technical
Guide redbook. posix_aio0 is new in AIX 5.2, but differs in how
parameters are passed and in some of the function definitions. One
must compile for one or the other (where posix_aio0 is now the
default when compiling). I suspect that AIX is compiled for "aio0".
Anyone with further info, please chime in.
