Hi Andrew,

I have put this option at the begining of the file and it did not work !! but I have typed in the definition of the connection dsm.sys and it worked fine, so problem solved !! Perhaps we have to put always in the dsm.sys file where we have to type the connection information.

Here is my dsm.sys file:

SErvername TSM1
  COMMMethod TCPip
  TCPPort 1500
  TCPServeraddress 127.0.0.1
  passwordaccess generate
  nodename test

Thanks for all who answer !! Sorry it was an awful night. ;-)

Regards,
Ibán.

Hi Iban,

Please see the client manual for UNIX and Linux, which contains reference material for the client options. Or use "dsmc help" to use menu-driven help.

The trouble is that NODENAME is not valid in dsm.opt for UNIX and Linux systems. It belongs in dsm.sys.

Best regards,

Andy

Hi,

I have seen this apart and it says that I have to put this option on the

option file, I have tried and It did not work:
ANS1036S Invalid option 'NODENAME' found in options file '/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsm.opt'
         at line number : 17
         Invalid entry : 'nodename TEST'

what is working wrong ¿? is there something that I missunderstood ¿?
