You can't proceed to try to use devices which are not in an Available
(Disponible) state: Definido (Defined) is insufficient.  It may mean
that the device is not powered on or there's a device driver
incompatibility in talking to the device.  Make sure you are using
consistent bitmode software (32 vs. 64).  Refer to your AIX Error Log
for definitive error indications.  Pursue the issue to conclusion at
the OS level before trying to operate on the hardware through an
application like TSM.  Make use of 'tapeutil' or like commands to
assure functionality.
