Ah, the previously undisclosed vital information!  :-)  I gather that
you mean two TSM server instances in one computing system instance.

It sounds like you are encountering collisions due to configuration
values.  Make sure you are following the instructions in your Solaris
5.2 Quick Start manual, topic "Running Multiple Servers on a Single
Machine": rigorous procedures are necessary when doing this.  As
noted in ADSM QuickFacts topic "Servers, multiple, on one machine",
there is IBM Technote 1052631 which summarizes the needed details.
You can use 'lsof' to verify what each server process is going after
for files.
