Hi,

there are many ways to skin this cat.
I would suggest to start with the TSM Management Console (a Windows MMC)
and use the Operationg Reporting Tool.
With this tool you can generate reports of missed and failed schedules
and a lot of other things.

Example:
[-] Custom Summary

 Administrative Schedules Successful: 4
 Administrative Schedules Errors: 0
 Administrative Schedules Failed: 0
 Administrative Schedules Missed: 0

 Client Schedules Completed with No Errors: 20
 Client Schedules Completed with Skipped Files: 4
 Client Schedules Completed with Warnings: 20
 Client Schedules Completed with Errors: 0
 Client Schedules Failed: 1
 Client Schedules Missed: 1

 Total GB Backed Up: 199.97
 Total GB Restored:
 Total GB Archived: 0.08
 Total GB Retrieved:

If knowing that all your backups ran successful I would use a two fold
approach:

1) Get all available error messages of the last backup run and check
if anything went wrong.

2) Check those things that might not generate error messages. Write your
own scripts to check for

* Nodes with no filespaces
* Last Backup Completion Date too old
* Time between Start of backup/end of backup too low (SAP backup should
run
longer then 2 minutes e.g.)
* ...

If you need further info or examples of scripts (written in REXX using
ODBC)
just drop me a note.
