Sounds to me like you got the IA64 instead of the x64 version.
Also, if you have any sql2000 instances loaded, you will need to run a
ms patch for vss - talk to your ms support people.

Subject: [ADSM-L] TDP for SQL on Win 2003 64-bit

Trying to install TDP for SQL on a Windows 2003 64-bit client, running
MS SQL 8.0. Getting message saying "This installation package is not
supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor" when
attempting to install the 64 bit SQL agent. Getting "The operating
system is not adequate for running IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for
Databases - MS SQL" when attempting to install the 32 bit SQL agent.
What's the deal? Is this environment not supported yet? Also, someone
just loaded SQL 2005 on one of our client machines. What do I do there?

God bless you!!!
