Note that major topics such as this one have been exhaustively
discussed in the past: the accumulated wisdom is preserved in the
List archives.

While you might think of not doing Reclamation as an advantage, the
reality many have discovered is that the major penalty is space and
performance degradation due to fragmentation - because Reclamation
can't be performed, and largely empty Aggregates persist in the disk
space. "Disk-level performance" is illusory where the arm has to hop
all over the place to perform a restoral.
