There've been several suggestions about defining new nodes. I would
add an observation that you're not going to change much of the process
by cutting a backupset off a new node.

If your problems with gen backupset have to do with bad media on which
current data is stored, then taking a new 'full' of the box will
certainly help. But you might want to consider addressing the
bad-data problem also / instead (copypools?).

Similarly, if you feel there's some problem with the distribution of
data amongst your primary volumes, a new backup could help, but again
you might want to rethink things like collocation.

But other than that, you will be placing yourself in an analogous
logical position before you start the gen backupset; a good
incremental, data in your TSM server, etc. The backupset is generated
from current primary data on the TSM server, and not directly from the
client box.

So I'd expect you to encounter the same problem when you try to gen
backupset from the new node. This could end up being immensely
frustrating, especially if the node is large and taking the new copy
is inconvenient.
