The DELETE FILESPACE process seems to be a very long task.
We have EXPORTed a client node in 11 hours. The DELETE FILEPACE lasted 42
hours!

Another process, a similar question...

Why does the expire process seem to take as long as a backup process
I have a large folder that got deleted and the backup process takes forever
and most of the entries in the dsmsched.log are for file expirations
