Flemming,

"Compressed Data Grew" means that during the backup
of the Exchange databases, the compression actually caused
the data to become larger.. thus, if the backup was to proceed,
it would do exactly the opposite of what you requested,
i.e. the data would expand, instead of compress.
If the data was allowed to expand, the TSM Server would
stop the backup eventually because the client is taking more
space on the TSM Server than it originally estimated.

The most common reason that I have seen for this
is when users have email attachements that are ZIP files
or other previously compressed files of some sort.
