Good Morning.

We are running Solaris 9/AIX(various versions) with TSM 5.2.2 on a AIX
5.2 servers running TSM 5.2.2

Our UNIX group restores 1 mount point or directory at a time which takes
very long time to restore multiple directories. Currently they do
something like

--------------------------

dsmc restore -inactive "/users32/oradata/FTKP/control1/*"
-pitdate=10/13/2005 -f

romowner=oracle

dsmc restore -inactive "/users33/oradata/FTKP/control2/*"
-pitdate=10/13/2005 -f

romowner=oracle

-----------------------

Can you do something like the following to speed up the process.
Otherwise it recovers the 1st set of files, then returns the tape, then
calls for the tape and runs through the entire process again. If so do
I have the syntax correct or can you tell me what it is?

dsmc restore -inactive "/users32/oradata/FTKP/control1/*,
"/users33/oradata/FTKP/control2/*" -pitdate=10/13/2005 -f
romowner=oracle

Thanks

Eric Jones
