How are you specifying policy for your Exchange backups?
Via default management class for that NODENAME?
Via INCLUDE statements in the DSM.OPT file for
Data Protection for Exchange?

Can you post your DSM.OPT file for Data Protection for Exchange?
I would like to see the INCLUDE statements that you are
using for the Exchange backups.
