We've had to do this for a few problems in the past including one that
sounds like yours (search the archive).  In previous versions the
commands were Delete Archdescriptions and convert archive.

If you are running in rollforward mode, these command take a lot of log
space so be sure to watch that.

I've been advised by TSM support to run these 2 commands against the
nodes that are having problems displaying their archived files &
directories:

UNDO ARCHCONVERSION <node_name>
CONVERT ARCHIVE <node_name>

Has anyone out there had to use similar commands.  Support says this is
a "known" problem.
