The simple task you describe below can be done with a TSM administrative
command script, doesn't matter what platform.

Look in your TSm server install directory for the file script.smp
(sample TSM scripts).
Look at the sample script BKUP_STG_DB; that shows how to check the
return code to serialize your overnight operations.

If you want to do more complicated things that require a host-based
script, I use perl.
Runs well on Windows, harmless install, very clean.

You can find lots of examples of TSM admin scripts and perl scripts that
do TSM things by searching the archives of this list:

I know that its a lot easier to use scripts on a AIX TSM server but ..

is there anyone using scripts on a WIN2000 TSM server

scripts to be able to starts schedule (backup storage pool diskpool,
then
if successful starts the backup storage pool tapepool)

any documentation ??? or exemple ..
