Hi,

SQL TDP 5.2.1.0 on W2K3
TSM server 5.2.1 on W2K3

For the last few days an SQL box has been failing it's scheduled event -
an action=incr on the C drive. At the moment the scheduled event is 'In
Progress' but there is no session open, and the client doesn't seem to be
doing anything like a backup. So I asked the dsmerror.log and this is what
it said:

15-07-2005 18:36:49 ANS1512E Scheduled event 'INFR_DAILY_INCR' failed.
Return code = 12.
16-07-2005 18:38:15 gtUpdateGroupAttr() server error 4 on update SYSTEM
STATE\SYSFILES
16-07-2005 18:38:15 ANS1005E TCP/IP read error on socket = 728, errno =
10054, reason : 'An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote
host.'.
16-07-2005 18:38:15 cuGetFSQryResp: Received rc: -50 from sessRecvVerb
16-07-2005 18:38:16 fsCheckAdd: received error from server query response
16-07-2005 18:38:16 ANS1017E Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure

16-07-2005 18:38:19 ANS1512E Scheduled event 'INFR_DAILY_INCR' failed.
Return code = 12.
17-07-2005 18:52:13 gtUpdateGroupAttr() server error 4 on update SYSTEM
STATE\SYSFILES
17-07-2005 18:52:15 ANS1304W Active object not found

18-07-2005 18:48:39 gtUpdateGroupAttr() server error 4 on update SYSTEM
STATE\SYSFILES

This message seems to be the cause of the problem, but there is nothing
documenting this error message that I can find.
So before I raise a PMR I thought I'd ask you knowledgable chaps and
chapesses.

Do you know what's going on?

Thanks,
Matthew
