TSM 5.1.9.83 on win2k server.

I think my server is very confused about the tapes in my library. I'm
hoping someone can shead some light onto the problem.

I've got a 60 tape library with two lto-2 drives (overland neo 4100).

I've got only one working drive. I'm trying to move data from one of the
tapes back to the disk storage spool (ITG-BACKUP-SPOOL). I run the
following command:

ANR2017I Administrator ALAZAREV issued command: MOVE DATA ITG052L2
STGPOOL=ITG-BACKUP-SPOOL WAIT=NO RECONSTRUCT=NO

But then, for some reason unknown to me, TSM first puts tape ITG008L2 into
the drive.

ANR1157I Removable volume ITG008L2 is required for move process.
ANR1157I Removable volume ITG052L2 is required for move process.
ANR0984I Process 5 for MOVE DATA started in the BACKGROUND at 09:00:40.
ANR1140I Move data process started for volume ITG052L2 (process ID 5).
ANR0609I MOVE DATA started as process 5.
ANR2017I Administrator ALAZAREV issued command: QUERY MOUNT
ANR8379I Mount point in device class LTOCLASS1 is waiting for the volume
mount
to complete, status: WAITING FOR VOLUME.
ANR8334I 1 matches found.
ANR8337I LTO volume ITG008L2 mounted in drive MT2.0.0.3 (mt2.0.0.3).

The process listed is also odd:

tsm: ITG-TSM>q pr

 Process Process Description Status
  Number
-------- -------------------
5 Move Data Volume ITG052L2 (storage pool LTO2POOL),
Target Pool ITG-BACKUP-SPOOL, Moved Files: 0,
Moved Bytes: 0, Unreadable Files: 0,
Unreadable Bytes: 0. Current Physical File
                             (bytes): 298,959,501
                             Current input volume: ITG008L2.

Why does TSM first need tape ITG008L2. The move I requested has nothing to
do with that tape.

Allthough, now, TSM has swapped ITG008L2 out of the drive, and put
ITG052L2 into the drive, and is now moving data to the disk spool. The
question remains though, why did it first put tape ITG008L2 in a drive?

Any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Alex
