Debbie,

AFAIK, "load dsmcad" is what you use on a netware box to load the CAD.
For Winders, it's under your services.

When I get one that's got the scheduler service managed by the CAD that
won't run, I always check the output of "dsmcutil query cad". Make sure
the line "Cad Schedule Service" is correct (should show the name of the
tsm scheduler service).

If not, you have to issue something like:

dsmcutil update cad /name:"tsm client acceptor"
/cadschedname:"tsm central scheduler service" /autostart:yes

Where cadschedname is the name of the scheduler service you installed.

Also make sure, since you are using the CAD to run the schedule, that the
scheduler is set to "manual", rather than "automatic", and the CAD should
be automatic (and running).

Lastly, since you are using prompted scheduling, check your dsm.opt to see
if TCPCLIENTADDRESS is set to the IP address of the client...this seems to
be an issue occasionally. Then run a manual backup of something, making
sure that you don't get prompted for a password; if all that works, it
should run.

(this is all covered in the windows client manual).
