The following information was found in the dsmerror.log:
06/22/2005 20:27:54 JnlQueryResponseThread(tid 1900): Error Reading
query response, jnlRead(): rc=-1.
06/22/2005 20:27:54 BaJournaled(): jnlNextQueryResp(): returned journal
read error.
06/22/2005 20:27:54 ANS1999E Incremental processing of '\\XX\X$'
stopped.
06/22/2005 20:27:54 ANS1181E Communication failure with the journal
service.
06/22/2005 20:27:54 ANS1512E Scheduled event 'XX' failed. Return code =
12.
This has happened the last couple of days. The journaling service of
this client monitors the OS drive and one other (13.000.000+) drive. The
OS drive runs without any problems. The other drive gives this problem.
>From this large drive only a small portion (300.000) is changed daily.
After stopping and restarting the journal service, a journal back up is
made without any problems reported.
Can anyone shed some light on why these errors occur?
Env.
ITSM server 5.2.4.1 on Win2K;
ITSM BA 5.3.0.8 on Win 2003.

I have been trying to install ISC v5.1 on windows 2003 server and
continue to get this error I have a pmr opened and am getting no where
with this TSM I will call you back nonsense from IBM How can a software
install cd not create its own directory. At least that is what i get
from the error below Everything else in there in the IBM/ISC directory,
but it fails trying to write to a log file dir that it isn't creating
