I'm only responding because no on else has. Not because I no for sure that this
will work. However, I don't believe you can use a database backup to a tape for
this. You may be able to use a backup of the db to a file device class on a
shared drive somewhere. Then a restore from there. Still, I've never done
this so maybe someone else will point out that this will not work.

I have been in the situation where we switched from a Unix TSM server to a
Windows one for obviouse reasons (grin). Anyway, we peformed node exports
exports or we just cut the nodes over to the new system. Once everyone was on
the new system we left it around for a while and the finally shut it down.

system, and export the TSM database, policies and nodes to the unix server.
it is possible?

Thanks
