I think, all you need to do is to specify the restore command -server
option.
You can try first 'domdsmc q dbb * -server=<dominoservername>' to verify
that you can see the backups.

restore Domino DB with domdsmc command from an other node

Hi all,

i´m using the TDP for Domino 5.1.5.1 on W2K and i want to
restore a Mail DB from an other node using the command line tool
domdsmc restore

it works with the GUI but i need the command line.

what i did

i changed the Nodename in the dsm.opt file (to the node name from which i
want to restore)

but whenever i try to start an domdsmc restore i retrieve an

no db´s matching criteria

when i enter domdsmc query dbbackup
i retrieve no backups for node name "Original Node" althoug i changed the
dsm.opt file

any ideas?

thanks

best regards
