Still I am not able to solve the problem and standing where I had started.

See when I do q drmedia, I receive certain volumes like

Volume Name State Last Update Automated
                                       Date/Time LibName
---------------- ----------------- ------------------- ---------------
-
BT0081 Mountable 01/29/05 23:03:15
BT0085 Mountable 12/31/04 14:52:06
BT0082 Mountable 11/30/04 11:05:38
BT0084 Mountable 11/02/04 13:42:51
BT0083 Mountable 09/13/04 15:54:11
BT0080 Mountable 08/11/04 14:35:47

Now I want to delete BT0080 to reuse it for TSM backup.

Any help on this issue is really appreciated?

Regards
Akash

Well far from not being able to "afford" the tapes, I can't "afford" not
to be able to restore back that far.
As demonstrated recently when a "minor" issue prior to me leaving on two
weeks holiday, turned out to require a full restore from DB from before
the problem arose. Tricky to do with only 2 or 3 days DB backups ;)

Do you also have your offsite storagepool reuse delay set to 28 days?
If the data tapes have been reused, the data base backup will not do you
any good.

Since few of us can afford to keep 28 days worth of expired tapes
offsite, most of us only keep data base backups for 3-5 days.
