How about:

"Del volhist type=dbb todate=08/11/04"

If you do a "help del volhist" at the TSM cmd, you'll get all the info.

If suppose I want to delete backup database volume BT0085, than what
command should I issued?

Del volhist type=dbb todate=-233 should work.

Assuming today is 14th februrary 2005 and volume BT0085 was last updated
on
08/11/04 14:35:47.

Or there are any other options available?

What are the repercussions of non-working or misbehaving of the command?

Subject: [ADSM-L] TSM Database backup volume deletion

Hello all,

We are taking Tivoli database backup in every 15 days.

Now I want to reuse the previous database LTO volumes

>> q drmedia

displays all database used volumes...eg:

BT0085
BT0086
BT0087
BT0095

I had tried using

>> delete dbvolume and delete volume, but they are not working.

Any help is really appreciated.
