Hi, we're trying to copy the archive data from our old TSM server to our
new TSM server, and we're running into a few issues.

I ran this:

export server filedata=archive preview=yes

And it went on for quite a while and gave me some good information in on
the console and in the activity log, but I didnt get a list of volumes
that I would need to actually carry out the export. I'm basically
looking for a hard list of tapes to match up against what I currently
have in the library that I'm exporting.

Basically, we have two machines, tivoli1 and tivoli2. We're moving
archive data from tivoli1 (a solaris machine and library being retired)
to tivoli2 (a linux machine and library just recently built and put into
production).

The best case scenereo for us would be to be able to move the archive
data that is currently on tape in tivoli1 directly to a specifically
named storage pool on tivoli2. Here's the way they're configured now:

tivoli1 has a pool called DLTARCHIVE:

DLTARCHIVE DLT7000 7,816,495. 47.2 50.7
20 0

which is really a bunch of tapes with device class DLT7000.

tivoli2 has a pool called DLTARCHIVE as well:

DLTARCHIVE DISK 85,000.0 0.0 0.0
20 5 LTO-ARCHIVE

which is really a disk device that has a next-storage-pool set to
LTO-ARCHIVE, which is of course a bunch of tapes.

Ideally, I would love to be able to move data directly from DLTARCHIVE
on tivoli1 to DLTARCHIVE on tivoli2. Since the migration percentage is
so low on tivoli2, it should write to tape very quickly into the
migration, which is the whole idea.

Is there any easy way to do this?

Thanks,

James
