In the TSM for Windows client manual, look at the topic "Considerations for NT,
2000, and XP Client Services".
It explains what Windows privileges you must have to do backups.
Even if you are the owner of the file on the other server, you can't back up
unless you have the Windows rights:
* Back up files and directories
* Restore files and directories
* Manage auditing and security logs
on the OTHER server.

Hi,
I have a strange problem with backup (or archive) of our Windows NT
clients:
If i backup the C or D drives, which are 'local', then all is ok.
I have mapped to a drive on another server but i cannot back it up.

I have local admin authority on my own PC and i have the problem on here
also. The same thing happens for ARCHIVE
I have read postings on the site before and there is mention of
'SKIPNTPermissions YES' and '
'SKIPNTSecuritycrc YES'
I have tried these without success.
My client is v5.1.6 (NT does'nt support much later than that), my server is
Z/OS 5.2.2.
Any ideas? Am i right in trying to do the above?
