Hi,

Server AIX 5.1, TSM 5.2.3
Client AIX 5.1, TSM 5.1.6 (several different machines)

We've been experiencing a number of client errors, which seem to be related
to tape mounts taking too long. It appears that tape mounts taking longer
than 15 minutes produce the error, but waits less than 15 minutes don't.
The server activity log doesn't seem to recognize a problem, other than
terminating the lost session "IdleTimeOut" minutes after the client
considers the session lost.
The backup recovers successfully, but the errors are irritating.

The client isn't behind a firewall, so that doesn't appear to be the
problem. Any ideas on why a mount would timeout after 15 minutes? Is there
a client parameter that I'm missing?
