backup complete, server still has session in run state

... anyone seen this? 

I have a client that completes it's backup successfully, but the server still 
has the session in "run" state many hours later.  

TSM Server Environment
Platform Z/os
TSM Server 5.2.2.4

TSM Client Platform
SunOS 5.8
