Re: Node will not delete

Hi!
That APAR is exactly what is occurring. I have run the select statement
and there are no volumes associated with the data, but it will not delete
the filespace. I can't go to the client because the client server doesn't
exist any longer. I was doing maintenance deletions on old decomissioned
servers, so I'm out of luck on that one. I have put in a request to
upgrade our server from 5.1.8.3 to 5.2.4, so I am hoping that this will
resolve the issue. Thank you for your help!

Interesting problem. APAR IC39957 may pertain. Life with defects...
Some things I would try:
- Attempt 'dsmc del fi' from the client, and choose it by number, and
see
if that makes it go away.
- Do 'SELECT * FROM VOLUMEUSAGE WHERE NODE_NAME='NODE13'
and if that reveals any volumes, try deleting those first.
In the future, do not name nodes with '13' in the name. ;-)
