Sorry, I was not clear,

I do want to get the element numbers from tapeutil, but not familiar
with Solaris commands.
Is there a way?

Don't do that - refer to the provided IBM publications.
The  IBM TotalStorage Ultrium Scalable Tape Library 3583
     Setup and Operator Guide
manual has all the details on the library and elements.
