I have a new Storage tech L5500 library with ACSLS and a new server I am trying 
to use.  I have 400 new blank LTO tapes in the
library and need to label them.  I am on Storage manage 5.2.3.0.  when I issue 
the label command I get the following error.

if I try the to label from DOS with the DSMLABEL command I get :


ANR9726E I/O error writing label for volume   .....


Tivoli says this is a known problem and there is no way I can use this library 
until level 5.2.3.4 comes out.  Has anyone had any
luck labeling new tapes this type of library and is there a way I could label 
the tapes from the ACSLS consol directly.  Apparently
if I can put a standard ascii label on the tape the TIVOLI will be able to 
relabel it.  It just cannot deal with blank tapes.
