We had an incident where our diskpools were offline, and backup data went
direct to tape.

Try

Query Stgpool=*  devclass=disk

see if they are online ?

Hallo people,


I have an odd error, and before I go to IBM I wondered if anyone has any
pearls of wisdom about the problem...


Any attempt to upd stgpool 'hangs' the dsmadmc client. I have to ctrl-c
out of the client and upon re-connecting a new dsmadmc session, a 'q se'
shows the old session still there....


It started happening about 3 hours ago, I have restarted the dsmserv
process and it still happens.

It's annoying as it means our diskpool hi/lo thresholds are currently
stuck on 0....
