Hi Moses
        If you had the following:
A TSM database backup older than 3 days
A storage pool copy with a re-use delay greater than 3 days (Ensures a
tape volume U need has not been reclaimed)
A server with compatible media device attached.

You could then set up TSM on the server, restore the TSM database from the
'old' backup, restore the copy storage pool, point the Lotus agent to the
'temporary' server and restore the required mail database.

For further info, see the Administrator's Guide.

Hope this helps.

Subject: No of retained versions of backup

Hi,
Have been asked to restore a mail database using TDP for Lotus
notes. There are a few things I want to find out prior to commencing the
task. Have loacted a date that I think I need to restore from however when
I check for PIT restore, the mail database I am looking for doesn't go
back that far.
This may be because the way ~TSM is set up we only keep three versions on
the server. Is it possible to restore backups, from removable media, that
are older than three or four days if your retention period is set to 3
days ?

Hope you understand what I mean

Thanks
