You must use an authoritative restore to restore individual objects. This
is done through MS ntdsutil.

Search http://search.adsm.org/ for authoritative restore or check out the MS
doc.

Subject: Restoring objects from Active Directory

Greetings,
I know it is possible on a Windows 2000/2003 server to restore the
Active Directory independently of the rest of the server using TSM's
regular Windows client, but what about objects in the Active Directory?
Does anyone know of a way to restore individual Active Directory
objects without restoring the whole thing?

Thnaks,

John Schneider
