Hi List,

We are looking at possibly installing a large number of TSM servers, some unix
but mostly windows to back up our geographically dispersed infrastructure.
(Queensland is in the north east of Australia, about the same length as
California, but much wider and has approaching 4 million people, mostly along
the east coast)
There are half-a-dozen big sites, 50 medium, and 150 small. Most clients are
windows servers (no desktop) and novell/groupwise. We have comms to all sites,
but some of the more isolated ones are only 64Kb.

We intend to set up as centralized control and reporting as we can.

OK. Given that scenario, how many people will we need? What is the tsm admin
to server ratio in your shops? Alternatively, how much time as a percentage of
a person does it take to manage a medium size or small TSM server?

Many thanks

Steve.
