Hello R., Within RMAN, you may configure the sizes of the backup sets and
pieces either by defining a # of files per set, raw size of set (needs to be
as big as your largest datafile), and by the max size of pieces and thereby
affecting the # of pieces per set. When the pieces get to TSM, they are
stored in a filespace like they are separate files.

Could anyone confirm whether TDP/RMAN sends the Oracle database backup to
the TSM server as a single object, or a number of objects?.
I am trying to work out TSM Database sizing and any help would be
appreciated.
