On the TSM server side you can set the TCPPort that the clients contact the
server on. In the dsmserv.opt you can change TCPPORT 1500 to something that
is not in use like TCPPORT 1800. You can also change the Web Admin port here
if that is needed (use HTTPPORT for that). Remember that you then have to
change this in the dsm.opt file on every client that uses that server.

The server also communicates with the client. This is usually on 1501. You
can change that to a specific port using the tcpclientport option (ex.
tcpclientport 1801). This is only need if you have schedmode prompted

The web client uses port 1581 by default. If you run the setup wizard you can
change this port from 1581 to something different.

The Client Acceptor and Remote client agent services each talk to the TSM
server on 2 seprate ports. By default they negotiate an avialble port. You
can set this to a specific value by useing the WebPorts option in the local
client's dsm.opt file (ex. webports 1802 1803).

So to recap
To change the TSM Server's ports.
TCPPORT 1800 - dsmserv.opt and dsm.opt
HTTPPORT 1880 - dsmserv.opt

To change the Clients ports.
TCPPORT 1800 - change to match the server's port.
TCPClientPort 1801 - forces server to talk to client on this port
WebPorts 1802 1803 - Used for the Client Acceptor and Remote client agent
services to talk to the TSM server.

Note all this information can be used when you are trying to backup clients
through a firewall as well.

Hi, i have a new problem...
on a windows 2000 server i have tsm, and an application that uses the
same ports than tsm 15xx how could i change the ports for tsm? Not only
the httpport
This situation cause the scheduler i defined for this client do not run
and i have to backup the client manually.
