You'd best run

     backup stg <primary_pool> <copy_pool> preview=yes

I'll bet a good beer you've got data in the primary pool that doesn't exist in
the copypool.

It's a primary stg pool volume - just ran:

        restore volume 00004-L1 preview=yes

        And got back:

02/24/2004 12:40:00 ANR1235I Restore process 215 ended for volumes in
        storage
                               pool TAPEPOOL.

        02/24/2004 12:40:00 ANR0985I Process 215 for RESTORE VOLUME (PREVIEW)

in the BACKGROUND completed with completion state

pool TAPEPOOL has ended. Files Restored: 0,
Bytes

                               Restored: 0.

        02/24/2004 12:40:00 ANR1256W Volume 00004-L1 contains files that
could not
        be
                               restored.

This should be a fully backed up volume, backed up to the copy pool.

So, maybe I should be thinking along the lines of an audit fix=yes?
It's not
too much data (2.4pct util) so not a huge deal, but I'd obviously like
to
practice this and get it right if I can...

        Thanks for such quick replies!!!

If it's a primary storage pool volume and you have copies do a restore
volume If it's a copy storage pool volume delete it and discard the
data.
The next time you copy from the primary to the copy it will be
replaced....

We have a single volume that's showing tons of write errors, so we're
trying
to get rid of it. Problem is, it's showing read errors on reclamation.
We're
trying MOVE DATA for the 6th time or so, but I was wondering if there's
any
other way to try and get this data off of there?

Thanks in advance for the help!
