Offsite storage charges are often based upon the quantity of tapes, which
tends to argue for evolving to 3590 K tapes for offsite use.
Ian's excellent observation on relative 3590 K fragility should be a factor
if you have butter-fingered operators or the arrangement with the offsite
vendor includes picking individual tapes, rather than whole bins, for
return to site.
