I did not understand your post; we are about to upgrade to 5.2.2.0 as well.

We have LTO1 drives in a 3583 library.

Which driver do you mean?  
We are using the IBM Ultrium driver for the library and the drives on
5.1.6.2.

IBM support says this morning they have found friday afternoon.
The solution is to download the last version of SCSI driver
