                Hallo TSM'ers

I noticed a few days ago that the TSM setup I am working
on disnt seem to be expiring DB backup volumes according to the
drmdbbackupexpiredays parameter.

Investigating, I found that del-volhists had been used
to expire the DB volumes. Referring to APAR IY00057, I came to the
understanding that DRM was no longer seeing these volumes as 'managed'
by DRM since a del-volhist had been run, and the unexpired 'vault'
DBBAckup volumes I could see were caused by this.

                Ok, now the problem...

First, dbbackupexpiredays is set to 7.

I could force most of the BACKUPFULL tapes to expire and
return to scratch by
move drm tostate=onsiteretrieve, but I am left with 4
'Vault' state BACKUPFULL volumes >1 month old, that report
onsiteretrieve is an invalid state to move to.

Also, I am unable to get any old BACKUPINCR tapes to
expire. Due to a kink in the way this site has TSM setup at the moment,
backupincr's go to a different devclass that points to a separate TSM
server.

Any help would be muchly appreciated,

                Thanks,

                Matthew.
