Eric,

You cannot do this. You must log on to the TSM Server under the
NODENAME that performed the backups. The "Direct Query"
function in version 1 worked the same way.
It allowed you to query a specific server and database name,
but the NODENAME queried was always the one logged in to.
Data Protection for SQL made it easier in version 2 and above...
Now, the tree view will handle this automatically for you.
That is, when you log into NODENAME_X, it will show you
the SQL Servers and databases that were backed up
under NODENAME_X. The tree view will have the SQL Server
name at the high-level view, which you can then expand to
get to the database names. Bill's idea is one technique
that some customers use.
