This usually is put into "DON'T DO" list!!! Standard recommendation is to
use separate node name for B/A client and each TDP.
It is good links to point the same dsm.sys file, allowing single point of
control. But the file is better to have more than one section with
different node names in each and separate dsm.opt files.

Hello Anyone,

Do someone used TSM to backup the filesystems, R/3 & BW databases and Redo
log files.

Tell me how the OPTION files can be shared with backup/client and TDP
mysap.com. with the
parameter "PASSWORD Generate" that enable to schedule the filesystems
backup without password.

eg.

/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           32 Sep 11 10:46 inclexcl.list ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/inclexcl.list
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           26 Sep 11 09:27 dsm.opt ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/dsm.opt
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           26 Sep 11 09:27 dsm.sys ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/dsm.sys

/usr/tivoli/tsm/tdp_r3/ora64
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           26 Sep 04 17:38 dsm.opt ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/dsm.opt
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           26 Sep 04 17:38 dsm.sys ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/dsm.sys

/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin64/
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           26 Sep 11 09:40 dsm.sys ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/dsm.sys
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     system           26 Sep 11 09:40 dsm.opt ->
/local/etc/tsm/bin/dsm.opt
