database fragmentation is a fact of life. You learn to live with it. I
once wrote a sql query that calculates the fragmentation of the db,
iirc (Eric are you listening?). The upside is, that once you've scaled
your system to operate properly with the more fragmented db, you never
need to worry about downtime for a dbunload/dbload again....

(yes my db is spread across 5 raid-1 volumes....)
