We were on tsm server 4.1 and then 4.2 for a long time. I was a little worried
about the catalog conversion problems. But on the advice of the tsm tech
support folks, we upgraded to tsm 4.2.3 then 4.2.3.x and this cleaned up
the catalog issues with no mess. The expire inventory that ran after the
upgrade just had a fair amount of extra work.
We just made the jump to 5.2.1.1 server and things seem to still be working.

Our clients are 4.2 to 5.2. I will be trying to move all of the windows clients
to 5.2 to pick up the fix for restore of files whose sum of the size of the
base and delta parts exceed 2gig.

Yes now, but not at the time of the last post.

>Has any of these "limitations" changed on 5.2?

Not that I know of, I suspect that ITSM dev puts this in the new feature
group and not in the bug group. So the more votes for same the better the
chance that it happens.
