Hi,

I have a problem using a HP DLT VS80 manual drive with TSM (it is
actually a Benchmark tape drive). When I try to label a newly bought HP
DLT Tape IV tape then I get the following result:

ANR2017I Administrator ADMINISTRATOR issued command: LABEL libv dlt_vs80
cl01 overwrite=yes
ANR0984I Process 2 for LABEL LIBVOLUME started in the BACKGROUND at
16:26:35.
ANR8799I LABEL LIBVOLUME: Operation for library DLT_VS80 started as
process 2.
ANR8326I 001: Mount DLT volume CL01 R/W in drive DLT_VS80 (mt1.0.0.2) of
library DLT_VS80 within 60 minutes.
ANR9751E The volume in drive 'mt1.0.0.2' is not compatible with the
drive.
ANR8802E LABEL LIBVOLUME process 2 for library DLT_VS80 failed.
ANR0985I Process 2 for LABEL LIBVOLUME running in the BACKGROUND
completed with completion state FAILURE at 16:29:28.

I found the following APAR: IC36036 LABEL LIBV FAILES ON DLT1 DRIVE
DUE TO UNKNOWN MEDIA TYPE, but it should be implemented in 5.1.7.0 and
I'm running that version.

Environment information: Windows 2000 Server SP3, TSM 5.1.7.0

Anybody has any ideas before I open a PMR?

Thanks in advance,
Imre
