--> We're running TSM 4.2.2.12 ...

To get 3590H supported you must reach at least v5.1.6 !!!
When you reach that point, the README will guide you.

Morning All TSMers :)

3590H upgrading is fully covered in the server README file.

I must apologise for being a bit thick here, but exactly which README is
this. I can find no reference to necessary steps when upgrading from B1A
to
the H1A 3590 drives in the manuals or the the README file in
/opt/tivoli/tsm/server etc  (I'm running TSM on Solaris by the way).

Can anyone tell me exactly where I can get this information from. Also,
has
anyone else out there running TSM on Solaris and has been through a
similar
upgrade (see information below on the upgrade to be performed).

The planned upgrade is as follows :-

We're running TSM 4.2.2.12 on a Solaris 2.7 server. It's connected to an
IBM 3494 library with two 3590 B1A drives (SCSI). We are going to be
upgrading the drives from B1A to H1A models.

Many thanks
