Hi all!

We use two device: IBM 20/40GB DDS4 Internal Tape (FRU: 24P2414) and IBM Tape
Autoloader (P/N: 3607-16X) for testing.
The following is the result:
a.. We can label and backup data into the DDS4 tape cartridge.
b.. We can't label tape cartridge in tape autoloader. It always shows
message: "Unable to label volume xxxxx. The parameter is incorrect".
Although we install TSM 5.1.7 Patch to correct error IC36636 (The 5.1.5 TSM
Server is unable to recognise the IBM 3607-16X Library) and enable Multiple LUN
Support in SCSIselectUtility for using IBM 3607-16X.
We try install TSM 5.2 but the result is the same (TSM 5.2 Patch is not
available now).
Labeling Media wizard:
1.. Click media labeling. Welcome to the Media Labeling Wizard screen
appears. Click Next.
2.. TSM Logon Information screen appears. Click Next.
3.. Device Selection for TSM Media Labeling screen appears (see picture
attached). Select the device and click Next.
4.. TSM Labeling for Autochanger Device screen appears (see picture
attached). Select the tape cartridge in library and enter the label. Click
Next.
5.. Media Labeling Monitor screen appears (see picture attached). It shows
the message: "Unable to label volume xxxxx. The parameter is incorrect" and we
fail to label the tape cartridge.
Our test configuration:
a.. IBM xSeries 225 (P/N: 8647-3AX)
a.. IBM ServeRAID-4Lx Utra160 SCSI Controller (P/N: 06P5740)
a.. Wide Ultra 160 SCSI Adapter (P/N:19K4646)
a.. IBM Tape Autoloader (P/N: 3607-16x)
a.. IBM 20/40GB DDS4 Internal Tape (FRU: 24P2414)
a.. TSM 5.1.5 (license) and TSM 5.1.7 Patch
a.. Windows 2K Server, SP4

  Patricia,

Take a look at your dsm.opt file for the TDP job and make sure you have the
TCPCLIENTPORT set to a different port number than the TCPCLIENTPORT in the
dsm.opt file for the Backup/Archive client jobs. I had the same problem
until I specified a separate port. Also, is it set for server prompted or
  client polling?

  Subject: Schedule for Domino backup

I have a schedule for my TDP for Domino that keeps failing with the
  following error:

  08/12/2003 11:51:51 Trying port number 56585
08/12/2003 11:51:51 Obtained new port number on which to listen. 08/12/2003
  11:51:52 ANS1909E The scheduled command failed. 08/12/2003 11:51:52 ANS1512E
Scheduled event 'DOMINO_BACKUP' failed. Return code = 1.

I've searched the knowledge base and can't find anything helpful. I'm on a
windows 2k box, tsm client version 5.1.1.5, tdp domino version 1.1.2, unix
  tsm server running 5.1.1.6.

  Any ideas are appreciated!
