Tim - Not sure what you mean by "medium that will have enough capacity".
TSM spans files over volumes, and the backup client would signal
the server that the size is too much for the disk pool, so would go
directly to tape...which is of "infinite" capacity, to the extent that
you can afford tapes and library cell frames.
