Restore Problems
2003-07-06 23:33:31
Environment: TSM server running 5.1.5 on Win2k platform. Clients are a
mixed of AIX and Win2K running also at 5.1.5. All backups are LAN-FREE.
Question..
1. We have installed the TSM client codes using Admin / root rights on
the servers. Our dilemna right now is how to restore the backup files using
operator IDs with backup operator rights on Win2k. We tried defining a new
ID with backup/restore/manage logs rights on a win2k Client but whenever we
start the TSM client GUI it prompts for a TSM userid and password.
Furthermore it won't restore the backup file. below are the messages from
dsmerror.log
