Well, that's the way it was implemented starting at 4.1, and was documented
to work that way.
My "licenses in use" dropped drastically between 3.7 and 4.1 because of the
implementation change.

And I haven't checked into the doc for 5.1.5 to see what they claim, but my
5.1.5 server has 146 nodes registered, and only 84 show up as "in use".

Is there ANY schedule, or manual archiving or restores going on in the "old"
server?   It is probably based on "last contact" date, rather than the last
time a backup was run.

There is not a SUPPORTED way to "merge" filespaces from two machines, but
you CAN do it (if you're careful), via export-import; let me know if you
want instructions.

i am at server level 5.1.5

Number of Managed System for LAN licensed: 50

I have 2 nodes which havent been backed up in 30 days
and they are still included in the 50 total

you are saying they shouldnt be ???
