I use Norton Internet Security myself. But on a Win 2K platform from home.

Then only the only other thing I can think of is making sure that Norton
Allows the TSM client to communicate on port XXXX. 

You will need to go into Norton Internet Security and set this up. Then try
it.

Hi Pole!
That is not my problem. To wake up a client is´nt so hard. Go to www.amd.
com and search for wake on lan software. Then can you run a command line
who use that software to wake up the client machine before your run a
backup on it.
But I just want to know if someone else run TSM Client on a XP machine who
has Norton Internet Security installed. And if they got it to work.

Lotus Notes is Like that!

I have not come across this problem, except when the powersaving on my
laptop is on.  It creates all kinds  of problems. Machine is asleep, can't
wake up!

That is my problem at 7.00am in the morning :-)

Way can you not cancel a sending mail in Lotus Notes. :(

But I try again.

I ask before for a solution where I going to backup a stand alon laptop.
And we have decided that we set up a polling scheduler who is starting 7 am
and is active in 12 h.
So if the laptop been online then it´s runs a backup automatic.
But somehow can´t the scheduler start DSMC. And I don´t know way.
But I have a idea way is´nt started.
Do anyone run DSM on a XP machine with Norton Internet Security installed?
I think that is the problem but i´m not sure.
